Technique starts with judgement.

Good injectable outcomes depend on far more than hand skills. They begin with anatomy, proportion, patient selection, treatment planning, consent and a clear understanding of what not to treat.

This programme combines focused theory with hands-on learning in toxin, dermal filler and collagen stimulation. Delegates are guided through the full clinical sequence—from consultation and planning to technique, safety and follow-up.

Course focus: facial assessment, applied anatomy, treatment planning, injection principles, product selection, asepsis, complication awareness and follow-up.

Learning outcomes

  • Perform a more deliberate aesthetic consultation and facial assessment.
  • Translate anatomy and patient goals into an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Strengthen practical technique across toxin, filler and collagen stimulation.
  • Improve patient communication, consent and expectation management.
  • Recognise common risks and early warning signs.
  • Plan appropriate aftercare and follow-up.

Hands-on, small-group format

Training is intentionally kept practical and personal. Small groups allow for direct trainer access, active questioning and real-time correction. The course is intended for HPCSA-registered medical doctors and dentists; registration status is verified before attendance is confirmed.

Mentorship from active aesthetic practitioners

Dr Thys Heyns and Dr Luhard bring clinical experience, educator perspective and a strong focus on repeatable decision-making. The aim is to help delegates develop a practice style that is safe, thoughtful and appropriate to each patient.
